I hate the fefriendlyreminders Tumblr. I don't know why I don't unfollow it. -_-

PS. Got the tutoring job. Start August 21st.

It was good at first, but then the quality of the submissions... dropped. Substantially.

I unfollowed it a few weeks back.

For the longest time the same person was submitting shit "reminders" with their super pretentious username. I might just have to unfollow it because it makes me legitimately irritated whenever I see something incorrect.

Fwiw I actually liked the ones by you-should-feel-honored-that-i.

But I suspect any friendly reminders blog that caters to a broad audience is going to have issues because of disagreements in headcanon and/or how certain situations should be framed, or what's unfortunate and what's mundane.

Yeah. I mean, I find some of them stupid and irritating (and I don't even follow it-- I just pop in every week or so), but the ones I find poignant may not be the ones other fans agree with it because hey, that's not where they've had 'fic urges or super-developed headcanon.

I think the point at which it gets annoying is when the submission is more of a "here's my very skewed interpretation of a canon event!" kinda thing rather than just...sticking to canon facts, haha.

I think the whole premise is pretty cheesy in itself, anyway, but eh.

And congrats on getting the tutoring job! You're gonna be awesome.

For the most part I don't mind it (possibly because I didn't follow it in the first place) but I kind of have to wonder how sustainable it is, at the point where it seems wrong and/or off-base nearly as much as it's right. :-P (Honestly I find the glaringly obvious "reminders" just as annoying as the mistaken ones - I mean, do we really need to be "reminded" of major plot points...)

And congrats on the job! :D
