Oh and, just got an email from my GTA for sociology:

I had the opportunity to visit with Dr Guzzo this week, and want to share that he is awake and talking. However, he is not fully recovered and will be transferred to a hospital up north to allow him to be closer to his family.

When I shared with him how much his students were concerned about him, and that they missed him, he smiled and laughed before telling me "no they don't!" I could tell by his reaction that it did register with him that he is missed by all of you. He still has a road of recovery ahead, and his family and friends wish to express gratitude for your thoughts and prayers. They asked if you are praying for his recovery, to continue those prayers. He is not completely out of the woods (an expression) yet, so, keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

That being said, let's keep studying and learning Sociology!!!! Sections 02 and 03 have an exam this week, so check to see where the study review is being held to maximize your score on the test. See you in class and on campus.

THIS IS GOOD NEWS. I mean, it's not the end-all, be-all, happily-ever-after, but it's good. Positive. Awesome.

I am very excited! I've gotten a LOT cleaned and organized, and my front room looks nice for once! I mean, the carpet is still like 50 years old and ugly but there are BOOKS and a TV in there and...the BEST PART, my parents let me haul their exercise bike upstairs! /o/ It's a really nice one, but nobody has even used it since they bought it, so MINE MINE MINE. I'm so happy about this, you guys have no idea. I love biking! But I hate going outside in the cold or hot, and the only safe place to bike (hilly Ohio, dontchaknow) is a trail 30 miles away. I love going there sometimes, but it'll be nice to be able to just bike inside! And to make things even sweeter, my dad gave my brother a TV, he gave it to Tim and Wendy, and they gave it to me. Along with a DVD player. The TV is...actually nicer than the one I already have in my living room, but my living room is stuffed full already, and the entertainment center holds a 27" TV-- this one is...32"? It also has problems visually, since it's one of those fancier newer types and it got ruined in places. But the picture is good enough for in there I think.

However, the front room is nice and roomy now, so I moved the desk from the bedroom (old family desk) into my front room, but the bigger TV on it (it might be a thin TV but it weighed a ton), and then hauled the bike upstairs to face it. Ohhhh man coolest thing ever. I think I'll save watching DBZ for when I exercise. It just makes sense!

Do do doooooo!

I work tomorrow and Tuesday but I have the rest of the week off to visit with Neal, yay. :D I'm a little nervous about this visit because he's never been here (but I've been to see him a few times), so I'm busy hoping nothing stupid/horrible/embarrassing happens. To try and cut back on that I've decided he'll use my bathroom since I have a better/nicer/newer bathroom, and we'll probably spend most of the time upstairs. I haven't made any concrete plans because I've got no idea what the weather is gonna be like.

So I posted a cute little DBZ fic today. And I was like. Wow, four reviews in one day? I feel like a champ! LMAO. Sure they're short reviews, but still. If that happened in the FE fandom I probably wouldn't feel--along with a few others in the fandom-- that writing and sharing was a waste of time. I figure if I'm gonna write an idea, I might as well write the ideas for the fandoms that will, you know, read it. LOL!

I have really awful hours this week. 9am to 3pm for a few days and then an 11:30 to 5pm? And I'm like...wow, they really cut back on hours this week, didn't they? And I'm on phones all day every day except for tomorrow. Which they might change first thing in the morning. It wouldn't surprise me at all.

Now that Wendy and Tim have officially moved out (got the official word, they got a cat) I can have my bedroom back. And my closet. And and and and and and--seriously, this makes me insanely happy. I love my space. And my privacy. Even if it's not really privacy.

Tomorrow after work will be MAJOR cleaning. No WoW until I actually get something ACCOMPLISHED. Like getting my clothes back into the closet. -_- I had just taken them out since I was giving up the bedroom, but nowww I don't have toooo. Hee. Also I'll have a 2nd TV!! I won't use it but i'll have it. Why? ...Cause it's there. But maybe i'll give it to my dad. I think he wants a flat one for his workshop. Mine is an old 27" butttt the entertainment center fits it so I'll keep it for now. XD

So yesterday my internet died...so I had to drive into work.

I got home to find a card from Neal on my desk.

That means he'd had to have sent it out the day after I left cause...well...I left on Sunday and it was only Wednesday.

Anyway, it was a nice mushy sort of letter. :P And he said he was confused about the conclusion I reached while in Wisconsin ("In that way I'm a lot like our pal Kraft Lawrence...") so to try and make things as obvious as possible, my response via text was, "Just call me Holo. Aroooo!" But then he was like

actually

you play the role of Holo fairly well.

And I'm over here like

wait a minute. should I be insulted by that or what? Cause we did spend a lot of time trying to figure out if Holo is just naturally bitchy or what. Either way, lolz, okay.jpg.

Today is a good day. I have the day off. :3

Oh my goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooodness I posted my first two attempts at fic for Harry Potter.

/splutters nervously

ANYWAY! What is sleep? Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more.

REM sleep? What is that, like a band or something? Cause I slept so badly last night it wasn't even funny. I figured being up for way over 24 hours would let me sleep until dawn or something, but I guess sleep and I were never meant to be together. :(

I went to bed at 10:30, fell asleep after 11 sometime, and woke up at 3am. Before 3am, but I tried until 3am to get back to sleep before I gave up.

Luckily while I was laying there, my upper back and shoulders and neck burning with pain, I managed to a.) end one 'fic appropriately in my head (!!!) and b.) write another whole fic in my head, so of course I got the laptop out and tick-a-tick-a tapped away after a hot shower (it didn't help much).

I noticed when I was getting clothes out of the bedroom for my shower that my sister had her sketchbook open and I peeked at it; a flower bouquet is what she drew.

And I had a feeling it was her wedding bouquet she was planning. Sure enough, when she woke up around 4:30am due to the evil known as cramps, she brought her sketchbook out and showed me, and then we talked wedding plans.

Her boyfriend ordered the engagement ring she wanted, and it's on its way.

Now, to see how he plans to propose to her...

(They want to get married on 12/12/12 by the way. HAHA. Her colors are: Ivory, Red, Gold, with green accents.)

So uh.

Got an interview on Friday morning.

With Scott's Lawn. They called me randomly. I applied back in SEPTEMBER.

Data entry/customer service. Part-time, most weekends. But I can get a lot of hours since I'm available a lot! AND MAYBE I could even go to school in the fall and still grab up a few hours there a week-- they said they're super flexible.

Not my idea of a great job but it's not too far away (Marysville, 30min!) and it's for a really respectable company. (Though they don't hire any smokers-- at all. Creepily thorough about it.)

I have a feeling that Adecco isn't going to want to "settle" anything so long as they're making off good (i.e., not having to pay me because I got non-working wages for 52 weeks, so now they're not paying me a thing since I'm not working), but if I get a job they might feel more inclined to settle because they have to make up the pay difference in what I made then ($15/hr on nights) and what I make now.

I'll probably have to wear a skirt. I don't think any of my nice pants will even button anymore since I went up two sizes. :|
